Tracking implementation of the Convention on Wetlands

The National Report Data System (NRDS) brings together information submitted by Contracting Parties to the Convention on Wetlands through National Reports, providing policymakers, researchers, and the general public a tool to understand status and trends in implementation of the Convention.

In NRDS you can

browse responses by country, region, or reporting cycle
use various visualization tools to better understand the data
identify trends data over time where time series data is available
download summary data and visualizations
see statistics on submission of national reports

About the data

The NRDS includes all data submitted through National Reports from COP10 (2008) to COP15 (2025), and future reports will be imported directly from the Convention’s Online Reporting System.

All information has been structured so that similar questions from different reporting cycles can be explored together. This allows users to view consistent data over time and view time series data where available.

National Reports are also available in pdf format on the Convention's website.
